This K-DATA kdFi V1.4 ECU is a plug-and-play standalone engine management unit installed in a Motronic compatible housing and loaded with an initial setup for M40 engines. Not for the E36 with 88-pin control unit.

- from 01/05/24 no CD included, download software CD at K-DATA Official Website
Installation (as recommended by K-DATA):
- Replace throttle position switch with throttle position sensor e.g. from M50 engine (not included)
- Install the kdFi V1.4 ECU in place of the stock Motronic unit
- Start the engine
